I am…

A woman of the universe.  Complex, radiant, nerdy, sophisticated, old, intelligent, young, fun, mysterious, funky, retro, odd, spontaneous, polite, surprising, afrocentric, eurocentric, amerocentric.  Basically, I am me.

I have so many interests, opinions, thoughts, poems, pictures, music, and stories to share.  From film to fashion to travel to food to school, there is something that I hope everyone can enjoy.

Welcome to my corner of the sky.

Hi Dagny, great work – content and insidht! I remember when Mariam Makeba came on stage – she was fabulous – first time we had heard of the ‘click’ song. – first time we had seen this very short hair-cut, most of the entertainers wore wigs or straightened their hair and used a side parting. Also went to see the South African show – Ipe tombe when we visited my sister in Zimbabwe (1960’s) we have the record and played it to my Ghanaian friends in Accra. Have you seen the show or heard the music?

    • @ Renee and Jim – Hello there. Thank you so much for stopping by. I have not seen that show, but I love her music. I will try to find a video clip and post it. Cheers.

  3. Dagny, this is so wonderful and very very impressive I am so proud of you and will be a follower.

was just looking at your 2008 graduation invitation with your beautiful pictures….it’s been on my side table (bedside) for ever as a constant reminder that i have to do right by my niece….a (graduation) gift is never too late – right? Always thinking of you and your mom – my baby sis, your sisters and prince Dantes…when i’m less sleepy i’ll read more of your blogs and respond, but this visit is just to connect with you today….also just got through talking with my baby sis, your mom, after a long, long silence…was so excited to hear her voice when she picked up ….kept saying ‘hello’ cos i was sure it was her voicemail greeting….! Love u and so proud of you! auntie ama
